Delegate Westfall moves to amend the bill on page one, section one, line eight, immediately following the word “county.” by inserting the following:

“On or before June 1, 2020, the Commissioner of the Alcohol Beverage Control Administration shall send a certified letter to all political subdivisions which would be affected by the provisions of this bill.  Such entities may stay “dry”, or not permitting the sale of alcoholic liquors for off-premises consumption, if by August 1, 2020 a majority of the applicable county commission, or city or town council, shall vote to remain dry, and send a certified letter to the Commissioner of the Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, noting the results of such vote.”
